Established in May 2022, Seneca Lake Venue is a 6,000-square-foot barn venue set on a 200-acre, family-owned farm. Designed for both intimate gatherings and large celebrations, our space comfortably hosts events from 50 to 200 guests—making it an ideal choice for barn weddings, receptions, and private events. With an elegant rustic barn surrounded by the rolling countryside of Central Virginia, this is a setting that feels both timeless and welcoming.

Seneca Lake Venue began as a dream: creating a beautiful place on my son and daughter-in-law’s farm that we could share with our community. Dustin and Jade, local grain farmers, purchased this incredible property several years ago and continue to work portions of the land. From the very beginning, I envisioned a venue where couples could truly slow down, feel relaxed, and take in the natural beauty of the farm—lake views, open skies, and the sound of whippoorwills at night.

Construction began in March 2020, and we opened our doors in Fall 2021. Our first wedding took place in August 2021, and since then we’ve had the honor of celebrating many couples’ most important moments. Beyond weddings, we proudly host farm meetings, anniversary parties, birthday celebrations, and a wide range of special events.

Each year, we continue to expand and refine our venue amenities to elevate the guest experience and make your day even more memorable. Our promise is simple: we care about the details—big and small—and we will work hard to help bring your vision to life.
